BIG Ears Festival with so Percussion

This week, Andy Bliss returns to the Big Ears Festival for two featured performances that reflect the breadth of his work as a performer and collaborator.

Bliss joins Sō Percussion for a performance of Stay On It by Julius Eastman at the Greyhound Bus Terminal, a distinctive venue activated exclusively for this year’s festival—an especially fitting setting for Eastman’s vibrant, open-form work.

Later in the week, Bliss reunites with the ensemble behind their acclaimed 2014 presentation of Drumming by Steve Reich for a special revival at The Mill & Mine, bringing fresh clarity and momentum to one of the landmark works of the contemporary percussion repertoire.
